We rented a penthouse on Paynes Bay, including their housekeeper for one month in November/December 2024. The apartment looked good in photos, but whilst we were there, almost every appliance broke down and had to be either repaired or replaced. We caught bedbugs and had to seek medical attention to relieve our bites. We had to ask the housekeeper to wash the floors after 3 days as our feet were dirty from walking around, we had several other issues with her also, including hiding towels from us.
We brought all our problems to the attention of Altmans, we sent them 2 emails and had no response from them. They were very quick to take our money, but did not want to help us at all. Very poor service. We would never use them again, and could not recommend them to anyone else. They should not rent out properties calling them luxurious, when in fact they are far from it, and they should respond to customers. Very dissatisfied.

Last year I started the process of buying land! And I don’t live in Barbados however Pooka Yhap was the individual who not only helped me but kept me informative and the process of how everything worked! I am so thankful for Pooka! She is an amazing realtor and helped make everything go smoothly!

I’m so glad I came across Altman Real Estate! Giselle Duff was extremely helpful and very professional. She assisted me in finding a long term rental in Barbados. She was very responsive and fulfilled every request that I had. This is my first time coming to the country and Giselle offered to answer any questions I had about living in Barbados and about the island itself. She has been very positive and I can tell she wants the best experience for her clients!

Unprofessional. The hold that I placed last night until I could get in contact with someone during regular business hours was cancelled to book someone else. What is the purpose of a HOLD if they just cancel it for NO reason at all. Very rude and upsetting.
