We recently spent 10 days in Barbados and had the pleasure of attending this tour.
Our tour guide, Peter, was probably the best tour guide I've met. He was like a walking encyclopedia of information on the history of the Garrison area, the underground armory, Needham Point, and the Barbados Defense Force.
Beyond the actual tour, Peter was very generous with his knowledge, answering all of our questions. I asked many questions about the United Kingdom and learned more from Peter than I have from a lifetime of history lessons.
I would highly recommend the Garrison Historical Tour to anyone interested in the history of Barbados.

This museum taught me so much about Barbados! It’s a must go. We went on an extremely hot day and one of the first exhibits was sweltering to the point I couldn’t fully enjoy it because I was sweating so much. They should put in some fans or AC in there but the rest of the self guided tour was awesome. Was fortunate to have met the development officer on that day and expressed my enjoyment of the space.

Very interesting to learn about the History of Barbados. Doesn't take long to walk around (20-30 mins). Was bd$20 pp to gain entry.

Unfortunately I was short on time and could only visit a few rooms quickly. There were informative displays but several rooms seemed to be closed, and no one else was there visiting when I was (about 11am on Friday). The area was well maintained and pretty.

Amazing. Lovely museum to visit. Interesting place. Especially kids spot. How they make learning is fun. Even for adults
