Batts Rock is a great beach with usually calm, clear water and usually few people. Since the rehabilitation project the surroundings are lovely with plenty picnic spot options. A restaurant and bar opened on the beach recently and there are toilet and shower facilities as well as a play park for the kids.

The sand on the beach is beautiful, and lots of coral to watch out for in the water. The pathway is beautiful, and there are monkeys by the picnic area. They're shy, but they are there.
The manchineel trees are spray painted red, with warning signs. The manchineel tree is one of the most toxic trees in the world, so don't touch them or their poisonous fruit (look like green apples). They try to rake them up, but as long as there are manchineel trees, there will be fruit and sap, which we found out the day after my son was burned by a manchineel (at another location). I have included a picture of my son's blisters, which to reiterate was NOT from Batts Rock, but taken at Batts Rock the next day.

Closer to the park, Batts Rock is extremely rocky and previous weather phenomenons have vastly eroded the beach front. Still, it is decent and enjoyable for a quick dip but not highly recommended. Limited benches make it not so ideal for picnicking.

First time here, had no clue it was there. Great spot and its about time here get some positive activity to give there some life. I had a salad and the ceviche which was awesome btw . the drinks can do with some work, I asked for a daiquiri and got something like a smoothie. I love love the hammocks and swings , gives it it's own unique flair. Its a must go again though.
