Cafe Sol is conveniently located at the beginning of the Gap, and offers great service with friendly and attentive staff! It is close to a beautiful space overlooking the sea, and you can get magnificent pictures as the sun sets. It's wonderful to walk up from the restaurant after dinner, past all the other lovely restaurants and bars that the Gap has to offer! We loved the vibe, and of course the food, and will definitely be there again!

The service a great here, friendly, fast, and attentive. The food is ok. The cheese on the nachos is.. grainy? And somewhat bland. The kids nachos get about half the accoutrements the adult nachos do. The food was very filling. It’s a very open cafe, and they have a lot of fans, but the breeze isn’t great so on hot stagnant days it could be too hot to enjoy a meal.

Conveniently located at the beginning of the Gap. Very busy, good food. Happy hour is 5-6 p.m. Staff seemed keen to get us to order more and move us on as soon as we finished eating.

I stayed at the Yellow Bird Hotel next-door. It was convenient having this restaurant open every day for dinner and every day for lunch except Mondays starting at 11:30 AM. Just a minute walk! There are few full service restaurants with bars open for lunch in the Gap. It’s in a beautiful location with views of the ocean and pleasant breezes. I ate lunch there three times because I was so impressed by the quality of the food. It’s as good as any Mexican restaurant you’ll find in the United States. I had a pork quesadilla, a pork burrito, and specially made shrimp tacos. All three were deliciously flavorful. Fresh ingredients and substantial portions. As for drinks, do yourself a favor and pay extra for a classic Mega-Rita with top-of-the-line tequila. You will not be disappointed. Service was professional and sometimes friendly.

We hadn’t planned on dining at Cafe Sol; our original lunch plans fell through, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. Our server was kind, warm, and welcoming, and the entire staff made us feel right at home. The food and drinks were solid, the music added a nice touch, and the overall vibe was relaxed and fun. It ended up being one of those unexpected treats that really stands out on a trip. We walked in with low expectations and left genuinely impressed. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
