The journey to Catch 22 is an adventure in itself, leading you off the typical tourist paths or in some cases, even for locals like me, and it rewards you with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the season, lucky visitors might even spot majestic whales passing by, adding to the locale’s allure. The restaurant’s cliffside setting, safely enclosed by protective barriers, offers a unique backdrop that would be ideal for intimate weddings or special celebrations.
During my visits, the staff consistently exuded warmth and hospitality, enhancing the overall experience. The menu is diverse, catering to various palates with a range of appetizers, mains, and desserts. On my first visit, I indulged in their fishcakes accompanied by my favourite Marie Rose sauce, followed by a juicy burger with flavorful toppings. The fishcakes stood out, being generously sized. On a subsequent visit, seeking a lighter meal, my daughter delighted in the soup of the day—a hearty split pea soup—while I couldn’t resist ordering the fishcakes once more.
I’ll take more photos next time! My daughter in both instances was keen on us just enjoying the experience together and honestly, sometimes that’s okay to put the devices down for a bit!
For those seeking a serene and distinctive dining experience away from the usual hustle and bustle, Catch 22 is a must-visit. Its combination of stunning views, delectable cuisine, calm, and genuine hospitality makes it a place worth visiting.

Difficult to get here, worth the drive. Sunsets here are amazing. Good service, arrived here after a rain storm. The shrimp fritters are top notch. Outside covered seating area with great views. I could skip the wings on my next visit.

Beautiful location for a Monday lunch break as animal flower is not open Mondays.
I had soup and fish burger, wife had chicken. Bill came to C$94.66 so a little steep but tasty.
Service was very good but we were the only customers until after we were served when two other couples came in.

We only stopped as our tour bus suggested the view of the coast.
The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating.
I looked at the menu and the lion fish ceviche looked intriguing.
"Aren't lion fish poisonous?", I asked.
"Our chef takes great pains, not to kill our diners", was the reply; I'm paraphrasing her actual words but that was the gist.
I'm definitely returning to try that dish before I fly home 😁
