Great stop for photos by the big rock, Has two swings suspended and an excellent rock to climb for intermediate climbers to tackle. Do be warned the limestone rock is very sharp at some points, so climb with gloves and proper foot wear.

Awesome!! This area is quiet and serene. Bright and breezy, with the soothing sound of ocean waves coming in and going out. Like most beaches in Barbados, the coastline is partially spoilt by the influx of Sargassum seaweed at the moment, but it is still a wonderful place to be.

Cattlewash is located on the famous east coast of Barbados close to the more well known Bathsheba and Barclays Park in the same vicinity even on the same rough stretch of beach (erh,, sandy coastline). This area is only recommended for swimming by strong swimmers and more suited for surfing. Surfers from all over the world come to compete in this vicinity and others to enjoy it's delights. Not a surfer, well there are lessons for those inclined to learn. Don't worry you do not have to travel with your own surf board (unless you want to), boards are available for a small rental fee. Cattlewash is an integral part of the Eastern Coast of the Island and one can witness hill regions on one side of the road and on the other the rock coastline with breaking waves, the whole scene is simply breathtaking. There are picnic areas nearby at Barclays Park and weather you are spending just a few minutes as part of an Island or you are there for a more relaxing time it is quite worthwhile. I totally enjoyed my visit to the area as part of an Island tour.
