This used to be a beautiful resort. I got married there in the sugar mill. Now it's gated off,but you can still walk the beach and fish off of the pier.

After a 14 hour flight with delays arriving at the hotel 6+ hours late,we were pleasantly surprised that it was indeed the hotel we had seen and even walked through on previous visits. The location is spot on opposite Cave Shepherd and a few more stores and even about 500mts away they tell me from Mr Beans villa. In the morning we managed to make breakfast and what a breakfast! Starting with smoked salmon, porridge, fresh fruit and melon, pancakes/ waffles, yoghurts, Cheeses and then onto a full English breakfast with eggs to order a choice of about 10 items to choose from to add to your eggs. Nothing was missing from Breakfast . On to lunch A large assortment of items to choose from that was very tasty, if you were too full from breakfast you could always go to the beach bar and get a Burger.
The evening meal was like Fine Dining menu and sauces to die for .Not a meal to be missed and I have eaten in some of Londons top resteraunts including Harrods and Claridges an example of the menu I will post, I must have put pounds on in weight.
The rooms they tell me are all depending on how much you paid so that is worth while thinking about, we thought it was pot luck but no! The room we had was a room! Quite close to the beach and resteraunts. Stage, entertainment area and beach bar, it was pretty basic and slightly noisey being on the ground floor and close to entertainment plus the junction of 3 walkways from the rooms so people congregated there plus the cleaners in the moment. No problem just drink more Rum!
We loved the entertainment a good variety and the bar was run efficiently with stringent mandatory mask wearing. The staff were excellent to the man/ women treat them with respect and you will make good friends they are ably lead by Christine Maragh and her understudies some really outstanding staff!
We never really had any complaints, although we did find it odd that some of the over the water brothers and sisters insisted on wearing base ball caps during meals and not bothering to get changed out of their day wear for meals When it says in the hotel info the dress code.
On the whole we will be back as well as enjoying, we felt safe from covid with strict rules in force temperature checks all the time, hand sanitisers everywhere and mandatory masks. Thank you to Club Barbados for getting our lives back on track from the covid..Geoff & June
