This charming outdoor eatery across from Paynes Bay Beach caught our eye, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations for our first meal on the island. The service was slow and not very welcoming, and the food was underwhelming. The pizza lacked flavor, and the fish was overcooked, resembling the texture of chicken. On a positive note, the view of the ocean was lovely, and the outdoor seating area was pleasant.

Good option for a relatively cheap, casual meal- the jerk chicken pizza we had was very flavoursome and enough for two to share as a light meal. They also had an excellent singer on the night we went which was a bonus.

Just back from a wonderful meal at the De Clay oven, we were absolutely stuffed. We had garlic bread and the fish cakes for starters and then the beef burger and the bbq chicken wings (I needed extra napkins the clean my hands!). All the food was very tasty but the fish cakes were just awesome. We may be back before we go home!

Service was very very slow, food took over an hour to arrive despite being one of only 3 tables when ordered, and when it arrived it was cold, so was sent back and there were no offers not to replace it. Took 50 minutes to get a drink that was ordered. The pizzas that arrived were luke warm and average. They seem indifferent to service and quality as I guess they just rely on the tourist trade for one-off visits.
