Nestled at the gates of historic Sam Lord’s Castle, Dis Ole House Kitchen and Beer Garden writes its own name on history’s page as a building that has been around for over 100 years. Dis Ole House is one of the oldest–yet newest–editions to the southeast coast of Barbados’ restaurants. Owners Julia & John have made thoughtful local food, drink, and atmosphere the heart of their restaurant. By day the breeze whispers through the open doors and the sunlight illuminates your lunch while you are entertained by one of many talented local acts. Two cozy copper bars–one inside; the other outdoors for those craving nature–tempt you with tropical-inspired rum cocktails or with frosty beer.
