We rented a car from them as the reviews and price were good. There were a lot of staff working intensely to get the documents ready and the people in their cars. Everyone was professional and considering how many of us rented from them landed at the same time, we got our keys in a decent amount of time. Extra points for not trying to push expensive insurance like many others do.
The car was a Suzuki Swift in great condition and with 3000 km, so practically new. It worked flawlessly and we had no issues with it whatsoever.
The drop-off process was super simple - just park and drop off the keys and parking ticket in the office. No issues whatsoever after dropping off.
Overall one of the best car rental experiences we've had, and we'll be sure to use this company again when we come back to Barbados.

All employees were very care-taking of each step of the rental process. The previous car damage documentation was by video and thorough. The car was good. When returning Darian made it easy and uncomplicated to return at the cruise terminal instead of the airport. Good experience of Barbadian hospitality! See you next time.

Akela is a Gem. She was very informed, efficient, and friendly. She helped us download offline google maps for driving around Barbados. Didn't have to rent a GPS navigator, saving us $. Akela also write down about 10 places of interest to visit during our stay. Please rent a small car for the roads of the island. A big vehicle will be difficult to maneuver and park. Roads are bad in Barbados with many potholes. We rented a Suzuki Swift, it had enough power and about 48 mpg or 17kpl. I'm 6' wide guy and fit nicely inside. I would rent here again. Turning in vehicle was simple. Just park car where you rented it from, make sure gas is full, and turn in parking ticket w/key. That simple. $50 in gas got me 475 kilometers. Great gas mileage.

Drive-a-Matic car rentals delivered exceptional service from start to finish. The cost was reasonable; the staff friendly and very accommodating. Pickup at the Grantley Adams airport was quick and easy, including the driver registration process required by law. Two things of note – 1. The return of the car was easy, as all we had to do was call the office and someone came to pick up the car at our location; and 2. When we hit a curb and flattened 2 tires (fairly common on the narrow Barbados roads), we were rescued within minutes by the staff, who drove us back to our house before the frozen shrimp thawed! Then the driver took the damaged car and had it repaired and back to us in 2 hours!

100% recommendation. Delivery at the hotel was punctual, the car was in an excellent shape, the staff was very friendly and professional. All was very easy and delightful. Perfect for your worry-free holidays.
