Physically waiting an hour in line to ask simple questions at a financial institution is archaic and unacceptable. They need to hire more people and improve process efficiency. It's a disservice to the people on the island.

I've banked with this bank for over 20 years. People have told me about how many problems they have had with them and I've always defended them because I've had mostly good experiences with them.... until this year.
I had to contact customer service twice for a simple matter, all I needed was for a rep to call me. Then, after I got fed up and went to the bank, found a rep, got her number, we may have spoke once then... nothing, didn't reply after I left several messages that I left on the phone and in person at the bank with security.
I called customer service again, in an hour I got a call, I was told to email the relevant information. I did so, again NOTHING. I had to go back to the bank and literally find the rep and corner him. He claimed he didn't get my email, I had it open on my phone, all of a sudden he could find it and reply. He gave me a date to come in and deal with it in person, I did.
I gave it some time then called to check up, everytime he was busy he claimed, he'd message and say he'd get back to me when I called for days then, finally he asked me to come in and I signed some paperwork. I was told it needs to go for final approval and he was going on vacation and I should email to find out who was his replacement. So asked, so done. An automated response told me who to email so I emailed them.... no reply for two weeks.
I just came from the bank where I caught him walking across the floor. I called him on all the bank's bull and how this is months this has been going on. Now, alledgedly he's supposed to get it done by next weekend.
This is the absolutely worst banking experience I've ever had in any country, in my life. Next time I'll be using one of my other banks, one of which happens to be right accross the street from Scotia. They have reps that actually work.

It's slower than usual for a bank. While the staff was nice, they were inefficient, and therefore, I wasted 2+ hours and didn't get anything done. The manager, who I had been emailing prior to coming down, didn't have the courtesy to come and assist. Awful experience.

Servicing this bank is the worst incompetence I have encountered in my entire life. In a normal country, such workers would have been laid off long ago. I wanted to exchange cash and together with 50 other customers I waited in line for 2.5 hours (!!!). At that time, the service in the amount of 3 employees served several customers for an infinitely long time. In general, all Scotiabank employees look like they are working here for punishment. They are lazy, slow, walk aimlessly at the pace of a turtle with one sheet.
I wonder if in Canada at the headquarters they know how shi**y service they brand their logo

Painfully slow every time I've ever been here. If you're not using the ATM, be prepared to wait at least 2 hours, no matter what your business is. Never come here again after today.
